Who We Are

EvolveImmune Therapeutics is a privately-held, next-generation immuno-oncology company pioneering a new class of T cell engager therapies to transform cancer patient outcomes compared to current therapies. Our first-in-category biotherapeutic EVOLVE platform utilizes integrated T cell costimulation to directly target tumor cells to deliver durable anti-tumor adaptive immune responses. Our lead asset, EVOLVE104, is anticipated to enter clinical trials in mid-2025. EvolveImmune’s team consists of over 45 FTEs in R&D, business development and operations with immediate plans for additional growth. Our newly expanded, state-of-the-art 20,000+ square foot laboratory and office space located in the New Haven, CT biotechnology corridor is convenient to the amenities of the Connecticut shoreline, the city of New Haven and easy travel options throughout the Boston/New York City corridor.

The Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with the Executive Team to help build a high performing organization. This includes bringing a systemic approach to driving culture and people. While ensuring operational excellence for HR processes, a keen eye on management and collaboration will be needed. Oversight for the HR function, including HRIS management, benefits, performance management, talent acquisition and onboarding and compliance. This role is essential to enhance the employee experience, ensure policy compliance, and drive operational efficiencies and productivity. The HRBP will focus on implementing and maintaining best-in-class programs and initiatives while upholding accuracy and consistency in HR operations, to support EvolveImmune’s growth and evolving organizational needs. This position directly reports to the President of Research and Development, and will collaborate closely with the Finance and Executive teams.

Goal Setting, Manager Coaching Engagement, Performance Reviews and Development Plans
  • Drive the yearly goal setting process in conjunction with the Executive Team, functional team leaders and program leaders.
  • Engage with managers to ensure continuous coaching of employees
  • Drive the mid-year and year end performance review process
  • Help managers implement and manage Individual Development Plans
  • Identify any performance issues and work with managers to manage those situations
  • Manage the promotion process in consultation with the Executive Team.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Act as a values ambassador and culture role model across the organization.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including helping with company events and recognition programs.

Talent Acquisition

  • Support talent acquisition efforts by managing sourcing consultants and outside recruiters, and working with hiring managers.
  • Work in consultation with the Executive Team to achieve key talent acquisition priorities within best practices timelines.

HRIS Ownership

  • Manage HRIS, including system entries, workflows and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR files within the HRIS, ensuring secure storage, access, and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Lead system integrations and act as the HRIS expert, ensuring process scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Work with the Executive Team to identify any system upgrades and changes, and help to lead implementation efforts.

Onboarding & Intern Program

  • Oversee and continuously enhance the onboarding program to ensure a best-in-class experience.
  • Drive the 90 Day Onboarding Plans for new hires.
  • Manage the intern program, including recruiting, onboarding, and program development.

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee benefit and leave inquiries.
  • Assist with open enrollment and benefits-related communications, work collaboratively with outside brokers, ensuring a seamless experience for employees.
  • Review benefits offerings and suggest any needed improvements or additions.

Payroll Liaison

  • Serve as the HR payroll liaison, ensuring accurate and timely communication of payroll-related updates and changes to the payroll team.

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Administer training programs via the training platform.
  • Assist with policy updates, ensuring compliance and uniformity across the organization.
  • Manage and update job descriptions across the organization, ensuring consistency and compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Maintain and update organizational charts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company structure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • MA in organizational psychology or an MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in HR, with a focus on HR operations and employee engagement
  • SHRM certification strongly preferred
  • Prior life sciences experience, especially with research and development organizations is important
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, ADP Workforce Now and Rippling preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail and follow-through.
