CarMax is seeking Sales Consultants who will use their knowledge of CarMax inventory to assist customers in finding vehicles that meet their needs. Responsibilities include guiding customers through the sales process, from sale or appraisal to test drives and arranging financing applications, and completing all relevant records and documentation to ensure smooth transactions. CarMax offers competitive wages during training and the first 640 hours of selling, after which commissions become the primary base of pay. The role is in a high energy sales environment where teamwork is essential to meet goals. No prior auto sales experience is necessary as paid training and a personal sales mentor are provided. Candidates should have sales and customer service experience, preferably in retail, good listening skills, strong customer focus, and a high level of self-motivation.
