Job Description As a Security Professional - Government Location in White Plains, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, interacting with visitors and staff, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.44 / Hour Job Schedule Day Time Mon 11:15 AM - 05:15 PM Tue 11:15 AM - 05:15 PM Wed 11:15 AM - 05:15 PM Thur 11:15 AM - 05:15 PM Fri 11:15 AM - 05:15 PM Responsibilities Provide customer service to individuals at the government location by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities or site management. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and following established protocols. Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed by site management or emergency personnel. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. A guard card or security license is preferred. New York Security Guard Registration is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
