Growing together.** This position is full time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 4:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Handle inbound communication from providers regarding incomplete charts + Organizes and maintains health information records. + Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information. + Manages requests for documentation and information. + Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record. + Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems. + Distributes reports and results. + May train and mentor co-workers. + Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements. + Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability. + Other duties as assigned. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications:** + High School Diploma / GED + Must be 18 years of age or older + 1+ years of experience in health information management (HIM) or medical records + 1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems + Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, save, and send documents and spreadsheets) + Ability to work Monday - Friday, 08:00AM - 04:30PM CST, with rotating holiday coverage. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime **Preferred Qualifications:** + 2+ years of experience in health information management (HIM) + Clerical or administrative support background + Experience working in a metric-driven work environment **Telecommuting Requirements:** + Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) + Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. + Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service. *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
